Jane's Day 2, 3, 4 & 5

I'm beginning to get into the swing of things now and getting used to a daily craft and photo session hmm that sounds organised!

Day 2

I used my misti tool to place the stamps and get really deep and clear images.

I added some washi and a small PL card into the mix.

Once the journalling was added I felt the page needed a bit of a colour lift so I added three trios of enamel dots - this is a favourite thing for me to do when making cards and scrapbook pages and will probably feature again throughout my December album.

And here's the photo page all done digitally with photoshop elements and Katie Pertiet digi stamps.

 Day 3

Time to go buy that tree! The trio of trees were stamped and fussy cut and decorated with sparkly gems. The truck embellishment is from Simple Stories Mistletoe Kisses.

Journalling added and a couple of more tree themed stickers - like how this makes another trio of trees to balance out the stamped ones.

And here's that FOUND IT moment captured on camera! All the digi elements are Katie Pertiet and available from Designer Digitals.

Day 4

I began by placing the journal card and number and then stamping this gorgeous feathery tree and sentiment from Penny Black

I coloured some microporous tape - you know the one from the first aid box -  to make my own washi strips and then put a little paper stack on top.

I added my journalling and then finished off the page with a washi and ribbon strip down the left hand side, a die cut Stamplorations magical word and a tree embellishment bought from Boyes - a cheapo UK shop. And of course I couldn't resist some sparkly gems on the tree and a trio of pearl round the sentiment.

Today's photo is a bit bitter sweet, but daily scrapbooking can't always be sunshine and light, sometimes it has to be what it is.

Day 5

Time to get that tree decorated! I love this PL card - the subtle colours and the quote - which was sent by a Pocket Letter friend last year so it had to be included on a page and it seemed apt for today's photo. I added the journal card, number and a tree themed stickerto get me started.

And then went to town once the journalling was added! Washi tape, two trios of enamel dots, red gems on the tree and brown gems round the circle. For a CAS at heart girl I sometimes get carried away once I let go!!

Today's photo showing my conservatory as it's not looked for ages - mmm yes, usually a play room and filled with toys. The photo and writing were created in photoshop elements and the embellishments are from Katie Pertiet.

Deb's Days 2, 3 & 4.

Day 2.

The Prima packaging I used for the corner of the page provided a spot to include a small tag with some more journalling.

Day 3.
Using a page from the book and not wanting to cover it permanently.  (I don't think this is going to be possible all the way through the book......but baby steps as I upcycle my little book.)

Cutting out a section of paper from the Kaisercraft story book collection (Books) and a small strip of scrap paper the same width............

I've just folded it in half and added the strip of folded scrap paper to the fold side.  Then glued the 2 longer sides together to form a pocket.  Some stitching was added across the top of the gingham paper before it was attached to the book page.

And it made a little flap that I could glue to the edge of the page so as not to cover any of the words of the carol.  I've made a little banner in scraps of red, grey and gold - the colours on my tree and tied one end to the tag that fits inside the pocket. A little paper clip holds it in place.

and a photo of my previous December Dailys on the inside of the flap.  Journalling on the back of the tag.

NEXT PAGE.....an in-between'er.
I wanted to keep this page as is so just added a border (from that one piece of Christmas themed patterned paper I had in my supplies) and some stamping......using black ink on the border and beige over the page.  I'm not a stamper and don't think I ever will be but one thing I've learned is if the stamping doesn't come out well then just leave it......it is what it is. lol

Day 4.
Is a double page.....once again keeping the lovely pictures in the book.

I've added a  couple of frames to the pages........ both were cut from the one original frame.
This was an inside border of the frame.  Added some journalling to this one (I thought this page worked in very well with me finishing off the Christmas decorating).

and this was the outside edge of the original frame so I put paper cut from the Kaisercraft Story Book collection behind it......sat my two pages together, glued down the frame and then cut through the middle of the pages with a craft knife to separate them.

We'd love to see how your December Dailys are coming along.

Mandys Day 2 & 3

We are starting to bump along in December now!

Day 2
is the reverse side of the transparency from Day 1,
so need to fill those white spaces

Instead of one photo, there are two smaller photos here

I also wanted to do a flip photo over the top because there were a couple more photos to include and only one concentrated place to put them.  These flip stick-on inserts are fabulous - but the size I needed was a lot smaller than this 6x4"size I had.
Out came the fuse tool - and ... no time at all, zipped around where it was needed.
The great thing about these flip pockets is that you can also add another photo on the flip side as well.  Got to love that!

All in place with the white patches all covered
(sorry about the reflections - the bain of my life!!)

The reverse side of the flip
The almost the end of a busy week

Lifting up the transparency page so you can see the 'see-through' bits
(s'cuse my scrap room bits sneaking into the background!)
I was going to put some more stars onto this side as well and let them sit over the photo, but when adding the flip pocket - weeeell, that was not practical!
Luckily the Basic Grey Jovial paper had great reverse sides!

I love the 'see-through' page revealing what may lie underneath!

 Day 3
This page was pretty straight forward on black Basic Grey paper.
a line of photos to represent the day.  I love to draw squiggly lines to journal on too!
 Ugh and did you notice?
I just couldnt revert to black and white photos like my plan was!!!
I soooo wanted to do that!
I've tried but it felt like I was taking all the colour out of Christmas!
That idea has been well and truly flicked to the side!

Lizzy's Day 1

It's been a busy start to December for me. But today I've caught up!
On the left side of my 1st page, the inside cover,
I stuck a paper bag already decorated that had been gifted
to me. It's so beautiful & I thank Kathleen Wilson VERY much:)
I decided to pop a little letter in about WHY I was doing this album.
I'd also been given some number stickers from Mary Bennetts, & realised a number '20' & '16'
made it into 2016. That was useful! The typewriter image is from our local
Reject Shop. Marked down to 50c for 6!
On the other side, I used digital files from the Becky Higgins PROJECT LIFE App
I have on my iPhone. It's a 'cherish' card from the 'DREAMY EDITION' kit.
I simply print them from my iPhone, via my wifi printer at home.
Then I used my STASH [go me!!!] to decorate the card.
The arrow was a 'bauble' die cut. I'm not being precious. I wanted that paper,
& decided to cut an arrow out of it. Then I THREW THE LEFT OVERS AWAY.
Yes. I am YELLING. This feels good. Use it, then lose it ;)
My completed 'intro' pages spread:

Next up is Day 1.
Initially I thought I'd only use 1 page per day. Whoopsies.
Took 2 pages to scrap my 1st day. Oh well. I kept spare pages in the book.
So that's OK!
Sticking with the black & white photos. Although it's HARD.
I'm a writer. I'm writing directly onto my iPhone, & also printing straight from
my computer. Then cutting out the sentences to 'fit' my page:
Yes! There are silver snowflakes on these pages,
from Marie-Christine from LAST year.
They're cute, but in Australia it doesn't snow at Christmas. So I took a deep
breath, & simply plonked them on the page as decoration:
To get my smaller photos, I also use the Project Life App by Becky Higgins.
You can pop 2, 4 or 6 photos on a 4x6 photo sized card. This one is a 4 per card
size. Then you print, and cut up! You can pop them onto a usb to be printed, but
doing them at home means I have more chance of keeping up with my DD.
I backed the photos with some stash wrapping paper:
You can see I'm keen on writing ON my photos, too.
Partly 'cos the background paper is quite 'busy'.
Mostly 'cos that's what I like to do! The Stampin' Up or American Crafts journaling
pens write well on the glossy surface.
As you can see on Day 2 below, left:
The other thing that works for me is making little 'flip' folders.
You simply run some washi tape between your photos [I use glue as well,
cos washi tape has a habit of NOT sticking terribly well].
On the left hand side, I've made one and journaled on the inside as well:
Excuse my big toes getting in on the act. Had to hold it open somehow!
Note the little stapled star cluster underneath? I repeated this element on
the other page [Day 3] for continuity.
You'll also notice with the little alpha stickers below, I'd run out of  the letter 'e'
so used the number 3s instead. The 'i' is a 'j'...strangely, I don't think it looks
at all odd. Did YOU notice??
I could go on and on with all the little bits I've added. But you've
been remarkably patient if you've gotten this far.
One last thing. Notice this photo has been altered with red arrows?
That's my 'LITTLE MOMENTS' App for iPhone by Fatmumslim.
It has LOTS of different effects you can use. And it's a fave.
Like this 'transparent' effect that I've used for the arrows, below:
Last but not least, a big thanks to Lizzy Crust, for sending me some extra
Christmas bits from HER stash that she thought I could use. I already have!

So, have you started?
We would love to see your DD's.
