WE'RE DOING DECEMBER! Whether you pre-plan your December Daily or create as you go along in the Christmas month; make your own covers or decorate ready-made ones, use Project Life style with plastic sleeves and pockets or create your own pages. Maybe you havent made one before and ask 'I cant think what I'd fill a page with everyday?' We'll help with that! Whatever your style we'd love to see it! Here you will find a seasonal blog open from 1st November to 31st January each year. We hope that this will become a wonderful resource of sharing, prompts and inspiration. What is a December Daily? Its a mini-album recording your daily memories capturing the spirit of December. Bring it out with your decorations each year and remember Christmases past. Scroll down on the right side bar and you will find past December Daily albums of each Designer. Check their 'journey' link too, this will give you some great tips and scroll a little further down and you will see the albums categorised into types for easier searching :) Now - 'Let's December Daily'!

Design Team Introduction - and Sneak Peaks

Design Team Introductions
and some sneak peeks!

 Let's December Daily Badge

Every few days during the month of November, we will share with you our December Daily stories, journey and thoughts.   As with past experience, sometimes when creating covers and pages... weeeeell.... it might not always work out.  Or on the other hand, works out terrifically!
Yes, we too experience it all!
Below is a little information on each design team member who share a few thoughts as they begin their 2015 December Daily journey and a  little bit of a sneak peek at covers!

--------------------------------------------
At last November has arrived, and planning of our December Daily's can commence!
This is my seventh December Daily and the excitement has never dulled as each year has passed!
When finishing up my 2014 December Daily, I had fully planned to use some beautiful
7gypsies envelopes purchased at a sale and turn them into an album for 2015
with some use of chalkboard features. However (fast forward to middle of this year)......
then 7dots 'Yuletide' Collection happened to me!!!
That was that!  I could not get it quick enough into my hot little hands ........
and the envelopes had been tossed aside!
(but not really - because I stumbled across a heap of December photos for 2008 - enough for everyday!!!! So will backtrack at some stage and do a December Daily with the envelopes!! Cant have enough December Daily's I reckon!)
This beautiful paper is now glued to 12x6 chipboard covers this year which also includes the use of black denim fabric.
Here's a little snippet:

Deb

YAY!  It's December Daily time.   It will be my 5th and I am just as excited about documenting  memories of  December 2015 as much as I was last year and the years before that.   My earlier ideas for this year's album were "fabric" and "lists" and that hasn't changed.......they will both be incorporated.  I loved creating my art journal December Daily last year so a bit of mixed media might pop up somewhere in this year's as well.   I will be using a Heidi Swapp Memory File Album and as much as I loved the way it looked,  I will be making some alterations to fit in with my December Daily plans.

A sneaky peek at my cover.........

Wow! Another year almost over and and I'm so excited to start another December Daily (DD). The ideas for my next DD always come to me while I'm doing my last December Daily.
So number '7' this year and something different for me.
Using October Afternoon's 'Under The Tree', a vintage collection of papers with a Kraft spiral bound journal and some mixed media thrown in, I am so excited about this DD. Although my ideas and what I would like to include come to me while I'm doing my previous years DD, the actually book/album was an idea I was playing with in my head only a month ago. I do love to challenge myself and the challenge this year is to stay 'flat' but document like I do every other year.

Here is a sneak peek of my December Daily Cover:

Soooooo, in turn,  we have  a warm WELCOME to extend to
Jane
Jane shared with us her beautiful 2014 December Daily last year
Its was gorgeous....
and now joins our team :)

Here are her thoughts:

WOW! I'm so excited to be here for the first time as a member of the DT.  Pinch me someone!
I'm new to the DT but not to creating December Dailies and this year it will be my fifth.
So what can I tell you about my 2015 album?
Well it was love at first sight when I spotted it way back in August. I'd been thinking about maybe changing up my colour scheme - something different from my usual traditional reds and greens -
and there it was waiting for me. So this year it's to be gold and black.
I'm using Project Life pocket page protectors, mainly the ones with four 3"x4" pockets, but probably some full page 6"x8" too - we'll just see how it develops.

Here's a little sneak peek of my gorgeous golden album:

  2. Welcome to Jane....lovely to see you other girls back. And all the best to Julie - I will miss her creativity:) I'm using an old Heidi Swapp I dunno....sort of file folder? It was a summery one, with sunglass and beach colours...so I had to do a bit of a job on that! And it has some plastic sleeves, which I've added to, to get enough pages for the whole of the month. But it's small, cos I don't have a heap going on, really. Can't WAIT to see more than these sneaks!!!
