Day 22
A dab of paint calms down the print so some hand drawn journal blocks can be seen

Scraps thrown into a container come in handy for little embellishment layering

Some more decorations to record - Nutcrackers sure are popular and trending this year!

There's nothing like a bit of glitter for Christmas!

Deb's Days 24 - 26 and an "In-Betweener"

Well I'm on the home stretch with my December Daily.   Here are the last of my pages.   I was considering going further than my usual Boxing Day finish this year, but my little journal has become quite chunky.

DAY 24
This became a day/night page. Taking inspiration from Mandy's gorgeous Book of Lists (just love this idea).  Glued a large tag to the page, stamped stars then used green and blue gelatos to fill the background and over the tag.  Shaded the outline of the tag with water colour pencils and filled in some of the stars.    Onto the night page.....used a transparency window again inspired by Mandy.  After I had painted the background a dark navy I brushed on some opal dust when it was dry. This is very sparkly.

and that page led to another "in-betweener"....... basically all done with watercolour pencils and a green inktense block to colour the background.
You can see the reverse side of the 'window' on the left

DAY 25
This was done over 4 pages.  Printed out a collage photo onto plain paper, stuck that to the first page then glued some paper (which I received as a gift wrap) over this page and pages 2 and 4.
It all seemed like a good idea at the time but I can tell you, it was as trying as covering school books with contact!   This paper had a "plastic" feel to it and it crinkled everywhere when I tried to spread it over the page......grrrrr.  Trying to pull it off was useless so it stayed.   I used a different wrapping paper for page 3 then folded it back to form a pocket to hold a 4x6 photo of the collage, a tag about our day,  a recipe and also the food we ate.

On the 2nd page folded back to form the pocket.......I've attached a length of twine to the outside of the pocket (Santa sticker is holding it down) and then punched holes in what I was putting in the pocket and tied it with the other end of the twine so that if it falls out it is still attached.

DAY 26
The letters, journaling and stamping was done first with permanent pen, then painted the letters with mists and the background with yellow inktense block.

I have come to the end of this year's December Daily as far as my pages go but will be back to share my main front cover and inside pocket later.

Hope you all having as much fun with  your December Dailys as I have had creating mine.  We would love for you to share them with us HERE.

Julie's Day 13-15

Hope that you all had a safe and happy Christmas.

Day 13
Here is my usual paint swipe. This time I added in my title before swiping then lifted the alpha off.
Once dry, I gave it a squirt with some Tim Holtz distress stain before
doodling around the title and the border.

Day 14
Left side
To carry on the beach theme from the photo, I used a Purple Onion postage mark stamp to create a abstract wave background added to all the pages in this insert bundle.

Day 14
Right side

Day 14
Inner pages

Day 14
Insert bundle

Day 15
I added in a water coloured background to tie in the date tag and finished it
off with some layering of trims.

Please share with us your December Daily progress here.

Mandy's Altered Book and 30 Day's of Lists - Days 19-21

Altered Book
Day 19
Here I've created a little pocket for extra photos which are punched with a hole
 and string threaded through

Day 20
Not forgetting the pets.  I'm so pleased I've included each pet for every year in my December Daily's.
In previous ones we have memories of our very loved 18yr old Cosmo who had passed away in 2010, and Blackie is now very elderly, I'm not sure if he will be with us next Christmas so these photos become precious.   It doesnt take much to make a 'Christmassy'  photo with a pet.. just a couple of baubles dropped in front or a bit of the tree in the background.

Day 21
Washi tape can make a great background, and so do these little chevron bags...
here I've put some embellishments poking out of the top of each bag, or these could be useful for hidden journaling too.

Inked up and ready to stick down.

Bec's PL Style DD.......... the rest of Day 14... Our Family Christmas

Well I'm back to show you the rest of my Family Christmas (Day14)

I love the candid shots of those special moments and had to capture these.
I've used layers on these to add some depth. I just love those Kraft tags and slipped one under the journaling card at the bottom.

This was a Bo Bunny pre made die cut page that I used for displaying these photos with added journal stickers and washi tape.

The back of the pre cut page.

and the opposite page kept pretty simple because of the photo of the decorations on the tree.

I love taking photos of the present unwrapping because I love the expressions that it captures.

Again a die cut tag to mount the photo on with some washi tape.

Some glitter tape to glitz up the page.

Some more glitter tape and layers using a little Kraft tag with alpha stickers on them spelling out Mum & Dad

Photos of the excitement and enjoyment of testing out the new gifts and a random photo my daughter took when I let her use the camera. And I absolutely love this photo of my Nan.

A Die cut tag from Bo Bunny that I journalled on about how hard it is to get a family photo and how much they whine and complain about having to do it. But I bet they will treasure it as much as I do when the day is done and gone.

The F Family card was just perfect with this photo.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and I will be back to share the rest of our Christmas days  with you soon.

We would love to see how your December Daily pages are coming along.
